We're looking for an experienced industry qualified to join our team as a Construction Trainer & Assessor. Whether you're an experienced trainer or have a passion for mentoring others and sharing your industry knowledge, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a flexible opportunity that can be tailored to suit the right person. We are open to part-time, casual or contract arrangements, including day-rate engagements.
Our trainers work with students across a variety of workplaces throughout South East Queensland, delivering practical, workplace-based training and assessment through workplace visits and small group classes that reflect the realities of today's construction industry.
About the role
As a Construction Trainer & Assessor, you will work with apprentices and industry professionals undertaking Certificate IV Building and Construction qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality workplace-based training and assessment.
- Conducting workplace visits and practical observations.
- Facilitating small group training sessions.
- Supporting students throughout their learning journey.
- Assessing student work and maintaining accurate training records.
- Building strong relationships with employers and industry stakeholders.
- Maintaining compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Essential requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction or a higher construction qualification.
- Current industry experience within the construction sector.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Current driver's licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Sound computer skills.
