As a Disability Support Worker with Coast Care Disability Services, you will deliver high quality, person centred supports across the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, and Newcastle regions.
This role includes a mix of community access, in home supports, Supported Independent Living shifts, and consistent short term accommodation including regular respite and overnight supports.
We are currently seeking 3 to 4 support workers for immediate start to support a number of new and existing participants.
At CCDS, we do things properly. This means following support plans, managing risk, and showing up consistently for participants. Many of the individuals we support have complex behaviours or higher support needs, so confidence, awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential.
You will be trusted to work independently, represent the company professionally in the community, and build strong, respectful relationships with participants and their families.

- Detailed shift notes and incident reporting are non negotiable
- Use of ShiftCare for rostering, communication, and documentation
- Team communication through group messaging to stay aligned
- Supports are built around participant goals, not just filling hours
What a Typical Shift Looks Like
- Community access supports including gym, pool, appointments, and social outings
- In home supports and daily living skill development
- SIL shifts and structured home environments
- Regular respite and overnight supports
- Managing behaviours using strategies outlined in support plans
- Secure transport of participants
- Completion of clear and compliant shift notes at the end of each shift
