Job Description

We are currently seeking a School Based Social Worker to join our Aspect Central Coast School in Terrigal NSW.

This is a part time position working 3 days per week (0.6 FTE) on a 12-month maximum term contract, with potential for permanency.

In this role, you will:

Support the social and emotional wellbeing of students on the autism spectrumWork collaboratively with the Learning Support Team, educators and familiesProvide practical strategies and support to students and their support networksLiaise with external stakeholders and services where requiredContribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive school environmentSalary & Benefits

$81,000 – $120,000 per year FTE (inclusive of super)

Qualifications

What you bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Social WorkMembership with the Australian Association of Social Workers or willingness to obtainCurrent driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel across your local communityExperience working with children and young people highly regardedUnderstanding of neurodiversity-affirming practice and/or experience supporting Autistic individualsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsNDIS Worker Screening Check clearanceWorking with Children Check for paid employment in NSWCompletion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’Click here to view the position profile.
