Overview

The Visual Manager is a member of the store leadership team responsible for ALO’s visual and product strategy. The individual is passionate about planning, product knowledge, analyzing reporting, and visual execution, all focused on driving efficient and effective visual merchandising. This role’s main goal is ensuring the store is customer-ready at all times.

Responsibilities

- Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes.
- Champion solid visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data.
- Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising, ensuring product recovery, restock, destock, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Effectively plan visual floor changes through payroll management and adapt visual support to meet business needs.
- Own visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Utilize reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, and make changes as necessary.
- Represent the business in meetings and conference calls in partnership with the General Manager.
- Review, monitor, and partner with the General Manager to manage budgets, reporting, and other business data, including metrics such as expenses and sell-through, and inform planning processes.
- Protect optimal performance by aligning business planning workflows with operational needs.
- Lead a team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication across Operations and Visual teams.
- Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.




- Write and maintain an effective schedule that prioritizes the best business strategy, in partnership with the General Manager.
- Oversee delivery of sales-floor KPIs while protecting operational efficiency and visual sets.
- Collaborate and implement the General Manager’s vision, working cross-functionally with business partners to support organizational goals.
- Navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Agile ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
- Independent work ethic, time-management skills, and personal accountability.
- Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles.
- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store.
- Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 10–15 kg.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
