About the Role
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our professional team. The successful applicant will carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance of a wide range of petrol, diesel and LPG vehicles while ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using computerised diagnostic equipment.
- Inspect, dismantle, repair and replace defective engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking and fuel system components.
- Perform scheduled servicing, logbook servicing and preventative vehicle maintenance.
- Carry out repairs on engine management systems, cooling systems, driveline components and vehicle electrical systems.
- Conduct road tests and quality inspections before vehicle handover.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged mechanical parts using appropriate workshop equipment.
- Maintain accurate repair records and complete job documentation.
- Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, Australian safety standards and workplace procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Liaise professionally with customers regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance recommendations.
Skills & Experience
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Automotive or equivalent
At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience as a motor mechanic
Strong knowledge of light vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment, workshop tools and service manuals.
Good attention to detail and commitment to secure work practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
Current driver licence preferred.
