What your day could look like

As a Recreation Officer, you'll create meaningful experiences that bring connection, enjoyment and purpose to the lives of older people. Working alongside a supportive team, you'll help residents stay engaged, active and connected through a variety of lifestyle and wellbeing activities.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Deliver engaging activities that support social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Adapt programs to suit individual interests, abilities and goals.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers and community groups.
- Create a welcoming environment where everyone feels included and valued.
- Contribute ideas that enhance resident experiences and strengthen community connection.

You're someone who loves working with people and making a genuine difference. You bring warmth, creativity and energy to your work and understand the importance of helping people feel connected, respected and valued. Guided by compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage, you take pride in creating meaningful moments that improve quality of life.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience delivering recreational, lifestyle or wellbeing activities.
- The ability to adapt activities for diverse needs, including people living with cognitive impairment.
- Strong communication skills and a cooperative approach.
- A current driver's licence and commitment to person-centred care.
You'll stand out if you have a qualification in diversional therapy, lifestyle services or a related field,
and/or experience working in aged care.
Above all, you're passionate about helping people live fulfilling and connected lives.
