Austrade has established a Trade Diversification Taskforce (TDT) alongside the Trade Division to deliver its trade diversification programs. The role works closely with the entire Austrade network and is available to high-performing staff looking to work in a rapid-paced, dynamic environment. The multi-function role is responsible for managing multiple and complex government programs, including the Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI), the Trade Diversification Network, among others.
The role is structured around a regional desk that will cover Northeast Asia and the Americas and requires skills in stakeholder management, program management, governance and reporting, and procurement support. The role reports to an EL1 that leads the regional desk.
The key duties of the position include:
• Experience developing and managing project plans and planning and delivering events, including in-market and inbound delegations
• Delivering innovative, practical and strategic solutions to advance the TDT’s objectives
• Engaging effectively with key internal stakeholders across the divisions, onshore and offshore.
• Taking on other responsibilities at short notice and working through ambiguity.
• Making use of strong written communication skills that will enable effective contributions to reports and briefings.
• Understanding and interpreting the Australian business and geostrategic environment in respect to diversification of markets.
• Navigating the Austrade procurement processes.
Eligibility
Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - Our successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
