Position Description

As for our student-facing roles, Ascham teachers are responsible for the intellectual development and well being of their students; and deliver excellence in developing and delivering academic programs through The Dalton Plan. The role also has a well being component with teachers assigned a form class.

About The Role

We are currently seeking a temporary full-time Drama Teacher to cover leave periods of colleagues in Term 4, 2026 and Term 1 2027. What You Will Do

- Teach Drama to students in years 7 to 12, and according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum, and Dalton principles of responsibility, independence,



collaboration and reflection

- Write, implement and evaluate high-calibre Drama teaching programs and Dalton assignments ensuring the knowledge, understanding and success of each student

- Actively participate in the planning of curriculum, writing of programs and resources

- Use formative and summative assessments to determine student progress

- Submit marking, reports and academic results as required

- Monitor and report on the progress of all students

- Perform other duties as required.

What You Will Bring

- A tertiary major in Drama and accreditation with NESA

- Experience in teaching up to HSC levels and willingness to teach Stage 6

- A love of Drama and the ability to promote this throughout the School

- Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised

- Experience as a collaborative educator who thrives in a shared teaching workplace

- Understanding of and commitment to WHS legislation and risk management principles

- A valid Working with Children Clearance (WWCC) and CPR / First Aid certificates.
