Are you an experienced and passionate early childhood educator ready to lead with purpose? Tiny Legends Day Care Centre is a privately owned, stand-alone service seeking a full-time Lead Educator to join our leadership team in Brighton, QLD.

About the role

As a Lead Educator, you will lead a team of educators to create engaging and responsive learning environments where children’s curiosity, ideas, and interests drive the curriculum. Our inquiry-based approach values children as capable and competent learners, and we are looking for someone who can intentionally extend children’s thinking through investigation, exploration, and collaboration.

This role also includes Responsible Person in Charge (RPIC) responsibilities when required, supporting the day-to-day management of the service, maintaining compliance, and providing leadership across the centre.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and mentor a team of educators to deliver high-quality education and care.

Plan and implement an inquiry-based educational program that responds to children’s interests, questions, and individual learning journeys.

Create rich learning environments that encourage exploration, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.

Foster strong partnerships with families through open communication and collaboration.

Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies.

Engage in reflective practice and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Undertake Responsible Person in Charge (RPIC) duties when required, including supporting centre operations, compliance, staff leadership, and decision-making.





Collaborate with the Educational Leader and leadership team to strengthen curriculum and professional practice across the service.

What we’re looking for

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).

Previous experience in a Lead Educator or leadership role within an early childhood setting.

A strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and inquiry-based learning approaches.

Confidence in leading a team and mentoring educators.

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

The ability to build genuine relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

A commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.

Flexibility to work between 6:15am and 6:00pm.

Current First Aid, CPR, Working with Children Check, and up-to-date Child Safety training.
