The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking motivated, capable and forward-thinking technology professionals to join the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Operations team at Australian Parliament House. We are recruiting for both Applications Administrator (PSL5) and Senior Applications Administrator (PSL6) positions.

Working within the Information Services Division (ISD), you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing the enterprise security systems that underpin the safety, security and resilience of Parliament House, its occupants and national democratic processes. You will work across a diverse and evolving technology setting that includes Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS), CCTV and video management platforms, intercom technologies, monitoring solutions, integrations, databases and supporting infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the operation, maintenance, improvement and future direction of mission-critical systems that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will collaborate with technical specialists, business stakeholders and industry partners to deliver operational excellence, drive innovation, resolve complex challenges and strengthen the security capabilities of Australian Parliament House.

Our ideal candidate is someone who possesses the following skills and experience:

- Qualifications in Information Technology, a related discipline, and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience are highly regarded.
- ITIL Foundation certification (desirable).

Eligibility

- This role requires the applicant to occasionally perform technical upgrades outside of core business hours. This work may take place on weekends or public holidays.
- This role requires the applicant to participate in a rotating on-call roster for out of hours support.
- This role requires the applicant to participate in a rotating on-site roster for on-site support (8AM – 4PM).
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
