Through leadership of the Executive Support team and management of workflow, the Executive Officer will provide high level administrative support and coordination support to the Deputy Commissioner.
The Executive Officer will identify linkages, anticipate needs and develop solutions where required, and provide strategic advice to support the Deputy Commissioner on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are able to operate efficiently and effectively. The position is based in the NDIS Commission’s Parramatta office and will be required to attend the office approximately three (3) days a week, with additional days as required. The successful candidate is required to be contactable during standard business hours.
The key duties of the position include:
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing high-level executive support and advice to a senior executive
- Managing workflow through the executive office including providing analysis and coordinating follow up action to ensuring priorities and deadlines are met
- Producing correspondence and communications to support the promulgation of critical messages and priorities
- Drafting briefs on complex/sensitive matters or coordinating requests for information on behalf of the executive office
- Acting as the primary point of contact for the executive office, with the requirement to independently respond to a range of routine, sensitive or urgent agency matters
- Managing secretariat functions for senior management meetings, including coordinating papers, preparing minutes and action items and preparing forward programs for meetings
