Project Architect — Parallel Workshop Architects
Do you want to own real projects — not just tasks — inside a studio that will genuinely invest in how you think, manage and operate, not just what you draw? If you're the kind of architect who'd rather make the call than wait for one, you've come to the right place.
About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Glen Iris, VIC. We're after a Project Architect ready to genuinely own their projects — and to grow inside a studio that's deliberate about how it works and invests in getting people there.
You'll lead day-to-day delivery on your projects — coordinating consultants, working alongside project managers, mentoring junior staff, and making the calls that keep work moving. You'll report directly to our Associate and Director, owning your projects within a clear, proven way of working.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years working specifically as a Project Architect (Project lead reporting directly to an associate or director)
- Registered as Practising Architect with the ARBV
Essential experiences:
- Minimum 3 Years working entirely in Revit
- Multi-residential project background minimum 5 years
- Delivered/ Participated in delivering at least 1 projects from Town Planning through to Construction Completion
- Experience progressing work confidently even when information is incomplete
- A track record of keeping projects moving through imperfect or late consultant information
- Comfort owning outcomes on a project, not just individual tasks
How we work
Consultants, PMs,
and clients don't always hand over complete, coordinated information on time — few practices get that. We've built a clear way of working around that reality, so you're never left guessing what "good" looks like here — with direct access to senior leaders and colleagues who communicate with transparency. We call our benchmark "Level 3 — Adaptive Coordinator": anticipating gaps early, progressing on validated assumptions, and framing questions to consultants as solutions, not complaints. It's a skill, and we'll help you build it.
You'll enjoy this role if you:
- Like being trusted to make the call, rather than waiting to be told
- Would rather flag "I don't understand this yet" early than guess quietly
- Can hold a consultant to account without damaging the relationship
- Are genuinely open to learning how we do things first, before changing them — we'll support that learning curve properly
What you'll own
- Day-to-day project decisions within your scope
- Forecasting the project timelines and set deliverables
- Early, transparent risk escalation
- Coordination of consultants and stakeholders across your projects
- Mentoring at least one junior team member, as a core part of the role
Growth
We invest in developing our Project Architects deliberately — regular check-ins, transparent feedback, and a defined path toward more senior delivery leadership as you build judgement here.
