We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support the delivery of efficient HR operations across Australia offices.

Work Location: Sydney or Melbourne.

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, this role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, payroll coordination, HR systems, compliance, and employee support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience while maintaining accurate HR records and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

- Coordinate end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, probation, promotions, transfers, contract changes, and offboarding.
- Prepare employment contracts, contract amendments, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation.
- Coordinate new starter onboarding, including induction, system access, equipment, and documentation.
- Support employee exits, including documentation, system access removal, and exit administration.

HR Administration

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within the HRIS.
- Ensure employee information is updated, complete, and compliant with company policies and employment legislation.
- Maintain HR templates, policies, and operational documentation.

Payroll & Benefits

- Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including current hires, terminations, salary changes, leave, and allowances.
- Coordinate payroll processing with Finance and external payroll providers.




- Support employee benefits administration and respond to payroll-related enquiries.

Leave & Attendance

- Administer employee leave requests and maintain accurate leave records.
- Monitor leave balances and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Support managers with leave administration and attendance queries.

Compliance & HR Systems

- Ensure HR documentation complies with local employment legislation and internal policies.
- Maintain employee visa and work rights documentation where applicable.
- Support HR audits and compliance requirements.
- Maintain data accuracy within HR systems and ensure confidentiality of employee information.

Reporting & Process Improvement

- Prepare regular HR reports, including headcount, onboarding, offboarding, turnover, leave utilization, and workforce metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and administrative efficiency.
- Assist with the implementation of HR initiatives, systems, and process improvements.

Employee Support

- Act as the first point of contact for HR operational enquiries.
- Provide timely support to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and administration.




- Escalate employee relations matters to the Human Resources Business Partner where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or HR Coordinator roles.
- Strong understanding of HR administration and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience maintaining HRIS and employee records.
- Exposure to payroll coordination and HR compliance.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation is preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to priorities multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Mandarin language proficiency is highly preferred but not essential.
