Role Overview

A high profile, critical minerals mining company with a pioneering greenfields project in Central West NSW is seeking to appoint a Quarry Manager . The project has completed studies and is seeking final investment decision, creating an opportunity to join the execution phase of a unique greenfields operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop mining management systems
- Implement safety and operational procedures
- Establish reporting and governance frameworks
- Select, mobilise and manage the mining contractor
- Integrate mining activities with the broader project schedule
- Engage stakeholders including regulators, consultants and landowners
- Provide technical leadership and input into optimisation, budgeting, scheduling and life‑of‑mine planning

Work Conditions and Benefits

The role is residential based in the Parkes District of NSW, operating a 5/2 Monday‑to‑Friday schedule from the company’s project office before moving to site.



The area offers a family‑friendly setting with schools, recreational, medical and social amenities. A lucrative remuneration package including short‑ and long‑term incentives is provided, with relocation assistance if required.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold tertiary qualifications as a mining engineer and have proven experience in quarry or open‑pit production leadership. A certified practising Quarry Manager certification (NSW) is required or eligibility for mutual recognition. Previous experience in metalliferous mining development projects, including construction oversight of tailings storage facilities and mine infrastructure, is advantageous.
