Our client is a leading infrastructure organisation responsible for the operation and maintenance of critical electricity assets across regional New South Wales. They are delivering long‑term maintenance services on a major energy infrastructure project and are committed to providing safe, reliable and resilient network performance.
About the role
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day maintenance of high‑voltage assets, supervising field crews and contractors across planned, reactive and condition‑based maintenance activities. Working closely with planning, engineering and environmental teams, you will ensure safe, reliable asset performance while supporting the integration of newly constructed assets into ongoing operational maintenance programs.
Offering a permanent Monday to Friday position based in Mudgee, this role provides long‑term career stability and the chance to lead experienced field teams on critical assets.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field maintenance crews and specialist contractors.
- Plan and coordinate scheduled, reactive and condition‑based maintenance across HV/EHV assets.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant legislation, standards and procedures.
- Oversee inspections of critical asset components including structures, conductors, insulators, foundations and earthing systems.
- Support fault response, incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and coordinate with engineering, planning, environmental teams and stakeholders to optimise delivery and safety outcomes.
About you
- Extensive experience supervising HV/EHV maintenance in field‑based, high‑risk environments within transmission or distribution networks.
- Strong technical knowledge of overhead electrical assets including structures, conductors, insulators, foundations and easement requirements.
- Experience across preventative, corrective and condition‑based maintenance practices.
- Sound understanding of electrical asset safety requirements, switching procedures and relevant Australian Standards.
- Proficient in CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP or Maximo, with strong troubleshooting and incident investigation capability.
- Solid leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with relevant trade/engineering qualifications and current licences/certifications.
