We are seeking an Electrician to join the permanent workforce at Lavarack Barracks, Townsville.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for undertaking electrical maintenance, repair and inspection tasks to ensure the secure and compliant operation of electrical systems and equipment across the base.
- Deliver high quality trade services, maintain WHS and environmental compliance, and work collaboratively with other trades and service providers to support PAS delivery.
- Provide responsive and professional trade services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Focus on improving the longevity of fixed plant and equipment.
- Maintain clear, professional communication regarding works and outcomes.

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Electrotechnology.
- Unrestricted QBCC Electrical Work Licence (QLD).
- Electrical Testing and Tagging Certificate and White Card (desirable).
- HV Switching Qualification (desirable).
- Current Open Drivers Licence.
- Post-trade experience in facilities or electrical maintenance and experience in electrical systems inspection, repair and preventative maintenance.




- Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship is mandatory).
