Reporting into the Enterprise Architect – Trading, the Solution Architect will provide solution leadership and advisory, develop and implement solutions aligned to organisational roadmaps ensuring a cost-effective target business state and optimised business value delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and orchestrate application & information solution architecture activities and deliverables to meet the demands and expectations of the Trading & Ops Business Unit
- Ensure solutions are aligned to the program blueprints and roadmaps / future states
- Manage the architectural impacts of business change
- Recommend solutions that improve cost effectiveness and flexibility of the portfolio
- Provide thought leadership on solution architecture, specifically within the application & information domain, and foster an environment of continuous improvement within IT and for EnergyAustralia’s enterprise data platforms
- Review, provide analysis, position and response to technical papers as requested by the Chief Architect or Enterprise Architects
- Provide expert guidance to delivery teams
Qualifications
You will have prior experience with setting collaboration frameworks, creating solution prototypes, solution development control and leading and influencing technical teams, all with a data focus. Additionally, you will have some of the following:
- Demonstrated experience delivering successful solution architectures in large scale environments / enterprises including exposure to contemporary cloud-based architecture
- Tertiary qualifications in Technology or similar & AWS Certifications
- Proven experience designing enterprise solutions across Customer, Corporate &/or Trading departments in complex organisational environments
- Proven experience leading cloud migrations of SaaS products, ensuring scalability, security, and minimal disruption to service delivery
- Ability to translate technical information into an easily digestible form
- Excellent communication skills – an open and collaborative communicator with proven ability to influence outcomes based on clear and concise messaging
- Highly collaborative, consultative and ability to work across cross-functional teams such as Agile or DevSecOps
- Experience in energy/utilities is highly favourable
