We are now seeking two highly experienced, self‑driven Anaesthetic Registered Nurses or Anaesthetic Technicians to join our multidisciplinary perioperative team. You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. You will experience different aspects of the entire patient surgical journey which is both exciting and extremely rewarding within a fast‑paced environment.

As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse and a member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. As an Anaesthetic Technician you will assist the Anaesthetist, and under direction of the Clinical & Registered Nurse deliver a high‑quality care for patients undergoing anaesthesia.

At St John of God Murdoch, we have 16 main operating theatres, angio suite, endoscopy unit and Surgicentre. You will be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites.

Our Clinical Command Centre is the hub that orchestrates the theatre machine, with information feeding into and out of a central location to co‑ordinate patient flow, equipment and available beds in recovery and on the wards. The CCC Team knows exactly where patients are up to on their theatre journey at all times.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and develop skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence.




- Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.

- Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.

Qualifications

- Registered Anaesthetic Nurse with registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, with well‑developed interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Anaesthetic Technician with a Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology, or equivalent; well‑developed interpersonal skills and the ability to monitor and evaluate patient care under supervision.
- Minimum 3 years working in a hospital environment with anaesthetic experience is essential to the role.
- Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi‑disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

Benefits

- Anaesthetic Registered Nurse Salary : $82,945 to $106,630 per annum, pro rata for part‑time, plus 12% superannuation.
- Anaesthetic Registered Nurse Casual rate : $52.30 to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation.
- Anaesthetic Technician Salary :



$81,827 to $99,892 per annum, pro rata for part‑time, plus 12% superannuation.
- Anaesthetic Technician Casual rate : $51.60 to $62.99 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation.
- Permanent full‑time, part‑time and casual positions available.
- Rotational roster working 6, 8 and 10 hour shifts.
- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as novated leasing, work related expenses, self‑education and additional superannuation.
