Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business providing on-demand reliable energy and operates generation assets including the Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas, diesel, wind and solar. We also supply electricity and gas to 1.5 million retail customers through Red Energy and Lumo Energy and run the Snowy 2.0 renewable energy project.
About the position
The General Manager Enterprise Technology Delivery will shape and lead enterprise-wide technology delivery that supports Snowy Hydro's strategy, improves business performance and simplifies work. The role leads a consolidated delivery department, oversees a substantial project portfolio spend and bridges strategic alignment with robust delivery discipline to deliver integrated, scalable, future‑ready business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise technology delivery strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Drive end‑to‑end delivery across platforms, processes and operating models.
- Ensure initiatives deliver tangible business value, including cost, productivity and customer outcomes.
- Design and embed technology operating models that support a more integrated and efficient organisation.
- Enable simplification and standardisation of systems and processes across the enterprise.
- Support integration of technology functions to deliver a consistent and seamless user experience.
- Ensure alignment between technology capability, business operations and customer needs.
- Lead complex, multi‑stream technology delivery programmes with strong governance and delivery discipline.
- Ensure strong programme transparency and reporting to the executive team.
- Influence decision‑making at the executive level through clear insight and commercial understanding.
- Build and lead a high‑performing technology delivery team with strong transformation capability.
- Lift organisational capability in technology delivery, change leadership and digital adoption.
About the location
This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
About you
- Senior leadership experience leading large‑scale technology delivery and complex systems integration in complex corporate environments.
- Proven ability to execute enterprise‑wide programmes that drive measurable business outcomes, with experience managing major portfolio spend and large team resources.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, risk and value.
- Deep understanding of technology operating models, systems integration and digital platforms.
- Experience working across diverse operational environments; industry sector experience is highly regarded, though telecommunications or financial services backgrounds provide an excellent foundation.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability at the executive level.
- Demonstrated ability to build capability and lead teams through change effectively.
