What your day could look like
As a Home Care Worker, you'll play an important role in helping older people live safely, independently and confidently at home. From providing practical support to building trusted relationships, you'll work closely with clients and a supportive team to deliver care that enhances wellbeing and quality of life.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence, dignity and daily routines within their own homes.
- Providing personalised care and practical assistance that promotes comfort, safety and wellbeing.
- Building positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues to create a connected and responsive service.
- Identifying changes in client wellbeing and communicating effectively to help ensure the right support is provided at the right time.
Let's Talk About You
You're someone who leads with compassion and treats every person with dignity and respect. You bring integrity to your work, remain adaptable when priorities change, and have the courage to step in and make a positive difference when it matters most. The moments that make you proud are often the simplest, helping someone stay connected to their community, maintain their independence, or enjoy a better day because of the support you provided. You're not just here to deliver care; you're here to create meaningful impact and genuine human connection.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or the ability to obtain these on commencement.
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle suitable for community-based work.
- Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to work independently while remaining connected to a broader team.
- A reliable, flexible and respectful approach, with a commitment to privacy, safety and person-centred care.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have a qualification in Individual Support,
Ageing or a related field and/or experience delivering care and support services in community or aged care settings.
Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every interaction, helping people live well and stay connected to what matters most.
