Shape the future of Queensland’s road network while building your engineering career. As an Engineer (Civil), you will work alongside experienced professionals to plan, manage and deliver road infrastructure projects that make a real difference to communities. You'll apply your technical expertise across the planning, design, construction and maintenance phases, while managing contracts, coordinating resources and supporting project delivery. As an Engineer (Civil), you will work alongside experienced professionals to plan, manage and deliver road and bridge infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact across the region. From supporting planning and design activities through to contract administration, construction and maintenance, you will contribute to safe, high-quality and cost-effective outcomes.

Working in a collaborative team environment, you will assist with road maintenance contracts, provide technical engineering advice and help deliver long-term road network solutions. You will apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to assess materials, manage risks, maintain quality standards and support the delivery of road and bridge maintenance activities. This is an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience, expand your engineering expertise and contribute to infrastructure that supports Queensland communities.

Some of your responsibilities will include:




• Assist in selecting and administering contract delivery processes to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Support the TMR Area Engineer in delivering Road Maintenance Performance Contracts, ensuring time, cost, safety and quality requirements are met.
• Determine and manage appropriate road and bridge maintenance procedures, work instructions and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to the development of functional road and bridge layouts that support long-term network objectives.
• Calculate material quantities, analyse test results, identify non-conformances and contribute to risk management activities.
• Assist in managing projects, or elements of projects, under supervision.
• Provide support and advice during planning and design processes to achieve value-for-money and best-practice outcomes.
• Ensure quality management requirements are met and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
• A four-year Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or an equivalent qualification recognised by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.




• A current Class C Driver Licence.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• A criminal history check and serious disciplinary action declaration will be undertaken prior to appointment.
