What your day could look like
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you'll help people access quality care close to home while strengthening services across regional communities. Working with a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll use your expertise to improve outcomes for patients and contribute to better healthcare experiences.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering advanced occupational therapy services that support independence, recovery and wellbeing
- Working alongside patients, families and colleagues to achieve positive, person-centred outcomes
- Leading service and quality improvement initiatives that strengthen care delivery
- Coaching and supporting staff and students to build capability and clinical excellence

You're an experienced Occupational Therapist who combines clinical expertise with genuine care for people. You build trusted relationships, make sound decisions in complex situations and enjoy helping others succeed. You're motivated by the opportunity to improve services, support rural communities and make a meaningful difference every day. More than meeting requirements, you want to create positive outcomes for patients, colleagues and the broader community.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current professional registration
- Experience managing complex caseloads with a high level of skilled autonomy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to lead quality improvement and service development initiatives
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in rural or outreach healthcare and/or hand therapy experience.
