About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter or Fencer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Sydney NSW. This is a hands-on position that plays a crucial role in delivering quality construction and fencing services to our clients across the region. Whether you specialise in carpentry, fencing or both, you will be responsible for executing projects to the highest standard, working on-site with attention to detail and skilled workmanship. This role offers the opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects whilst being part of a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

- Install, repair and maintain fencing structures of various materials and styles according to specifications and client requirements

- Perform carpentry work including framing, finishing and structural installations on residential and commercial projects

- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications accurately

- Prepare and measure work areas, marking cut lines and drilling holes as needed

- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards and regulations

- Maintain a safe and tidy work site, including proper disposal of waste materials

- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members and clients regarding project progress and any issues

- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets our high standards





- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain industry best practices

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Carpenter and/or Fencer with a solid track record of quality work

- Competency in installing and repairing various types of fencing (timber, colorbond, concrete, wire and other materials)

- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and ability to read construction plans and specifications

- Sound knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards and WorkSafe NSW requirements

- Competency in operating a range of hand tools and power tools safely

- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work

- Current driver's licence and ability to travel to various sites across Sydney

- Preferred: White Card (site induction training), relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship completion

- Preferred: Experience with both fencing and carpentry disciplines
