We're partnering with a growing and well-established commercial contractor that specialises in high-quality commercial fit-out projects, while also delivering refurbishment and design & construct (D&C;) projects across Sydney. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Estimator to join their team and play a key role in winning and delivering successful projects.

The Opportunity

Based in Sydney, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for commercial fit-out, refurbishment and D&C; projects ranging from $500,000 to $15 million .

Working closely with senior management, project delivery teams, suppliers and subcontractors, you'll manage the estimating process from initial tender through to project handover, helping secure new work and set projects up for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs and tender submissions for commercial fit-out, refurbishment and D&C; projects.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation to determine project scope and pricing requirements.
- Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Develop scopes of work and procurement packages.




- Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
- Assist with budget development and tender strategy.
- Support project handovers to delivery teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and industry partners.
- Ensure all tender submissions are accurate, compliant and submitted within required timeframes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- 2–5 years' experience estimating commercial fit-out projects in Australia.
- Experience with refurbishment and/or design & construct (D&C;) projects will be highly regarded.
- Experience pricing commercial construction projects valued between $500K and $15M will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies, fit-out processes and interior construction.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Proficiency in CostX and other estimating software preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work.

The Reward

Salary up to $160K + Super (dependent on experience).
