Position: Disability Female Support Worker – St Kilda VIC

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable female support worker to provide personal care and community access support to an adult participant. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, respectful, and passionate about supporting individuals to maintain their independence and actively engage in the community.

Role Overview

Availability Required:

Monday to Sunday

Early Morning and Afternoon slots (5 to 6 hours a day)

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in disability support, personal care, or community access support.
- A caring, gentle, and person-centred approach with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Strong communication and companionship skills.
- Applicants must hold a valid Driver's Licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care support while maintaining the participant's dignity, comfort, and privacy at all times.
- Assist with showering, dressing, grooming, skin care, and other daily living activities as required.




- Prepare meals according to the participant's preferences and assist with light household duties.
- Support the participant with community access, including café visits, shopping, recreational activities, and medical appointments.
- Provide companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and promote social participation.
- Create a safe, supportive, and positive workplace for the participant.
- Respond to the participant's changing health needs with patience, empathy, and flexibility.

Participant Preferences

The participant enjoys community outings, coffee, shopping, beach visits, recreational activities, and social interaction. The ideal support worker will be friendly, patient, respectful, and able to provide gentle support while encouraging the participant's independence and choices.
