An opportunity has arisen for a Reablement Assistant with Liverpool City Council’s Intermediate Care and Reablement service, based at Townsend Hub — a 35-bed reablement unit in central Liverpool (L6 0BB). The rate is £14.93–£19.34 per hour, commencing 14 July 2026.
The Townsend Hub supports individuals to improve and retain their independence. As a Reablement Assistant, you will deliver person‑centred care in line with agreed support plans, assisting service users with daily living skills including kitchen tasks, household maintenance, personal care, and health management within a safe and enabling environment. You will work alongside allied health and social care professionals, liaise with families and external agencies, administer medication as required, and participate in assessments and reviews.
This role is building‑based with an expectation of flexibility across city locations as service needs change.
You will work on a rota covering 7 days between 8am and 10pm. An Enhanced DBS check (Adult Workforce and Adult Barred List) is required.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Experience in an adult social care setting; experience promoting independence; ability to follow a designated reablement programme; positive verbal and written communication.
- An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards it.
- Manual handling certification is advantageous.
