About The Role

As a Health and Security Assistant, you will support the smooth operation of the hospital. Working alongside nurses and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist with patient care, patient transfers, cleaning and infection prevention, and help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for assisting in patient care, inner facility patient transfers, maintaining a high degree of cleanliness, dealing with security issues, including patient restraints to support the effective and efficient functioning of the health service.

Legal and Eligibility Requirements

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015: Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases for Category A positions prior to offer. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in the policy.
