DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an exciting contract opportunity with this client, supporting the delivery of significant building and infrastructure projects across the Townsville region.

This role is ideal for a proven project management professional with experience delivering major building projects from planning and design through to construction and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage all aspects of building project delivery, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration and post-construction activities.
- Lead project teams and coordinate internal staff, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Manage traditional and non-traditional contract arrangements and ensure effective contract administration.
- Deliver projects in line with client expectations for scope, time, cost, quality and cash flow while achieving organisational objectives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular consultation and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead negotiations with consultants, contractors, local authorities and key stakeholders to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Monitor project performance, control variances and undertake project audits to support successful delivery.
- Assist with fee development, project financial management and client billing processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and organisational standards.




- Mentor and support Project Managers and project staff while proactively managing team performance and conduct.

About You

- Significant experience managing building or construction projects, particularly larger or complex projects.
- Robust project delivery skills across planning, design, procurement, contract management and construction phases.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience administering construction contracts and managing project budgets, schedules and risk.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to quality outcomes, continuous improvement and team leadership.

Mandatory Requirements

- Experience working on major projects.
- Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
- Ability to travel as required throughout the region.
