As an AO5 Advisor, you'll join a collaborative and high-performing team based in Townsville that supports major programs and ensures strong oversight, consistency and compliance across a broad portfolio.
Your current role
As an AO5 Advisor (Program Performance), you will play an integral role in supporting the effective governance, reporting and performance of major programs and projects. Working closely with program leaders and subject-matter experts, you will:
- Prepare governance meeting materials including agendas, briefing packs and reports for senior steering committees and boards
- Coordinate meeting outputs including minutes, action tracking and escalation processes
- Maintain and monitor risk, issue and dependency registers to support governance reporting
- Manage program documentation, including change control and escalation requests
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of program data used for reporting and decision-making
- Support audit readiness by maintaining records, evidence and governance documentation
- Assist with program oversight, capacity planning and ensuring continuity of key activities
- Drive consistency in governance practices across teams and stakeholder groups
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role,
you will bring strong program support or governance experience, along with excellent attention to detail and stakeholder engagement skills. You will demonstrate:
- Experience in program/project support, governance, reporting or controls within a complex delivery environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level correspondence and reports
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (data analysis/reporting) and PowerPoint (executive presentations)
- Experience working with program management systems, dashboards, registers or SharePoint
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret and present data insights clearly
- High attention to detail, particularly in reporting accuracy and governance documentation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
