The Swan Region encompasses both the metropolitan Perth and the Peel region. It extends along the west coast from Lancelin in the north to south of Mandurah and east to the edge of the Wheatbelt from Quindanning to Bolgart. The Swan Region employs over 200 staff across multiple work centres (Mandurah, Wanneroo, Yanchep, Hillarys, Mundaring, Jarrahdale and Dwellingup) with the regional headquarters based at Crawley.

We are currently seeking a Conservation Employee – Work Centre Coordinator to join our team.

Under the direction of the Senior Operations Officer or Operations Manager, this position:

- Participates in the development of works programs across the department’s fire management, conservation, marine, parks and visitor services and sustainable forest management programs, in a range of land and waters management activities related to conservation, parks and wildlife work.
- Assists with the operational management of the Jarrahdale work centre’s fabrication workshop and precast bridge component production project, producing a range of steel, wood and concrete products and components for districts across the state.
- Provides direction and leadership to employees supervised.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should address the following three (3) criteria.



These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.

- Demonstrated ability to supervise others, identify training needs, conduct training as appropriate, and promote an workplace of continuous learning.
- Sound knowledge, and experience in supervising projects and works programs, to ensure they are planned and implemented in an efficient manner, and an ability to determine day to day priorities and ensure best practice quality measures are achieved.
- Experience in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure relevant to the department.
