About The Role

This is a Fixed term role until 30/6/27

The Team Leader Surveillance & Inspection sits within Metro Capital Delivery and is responsible for leading a team and co-ordinating surveillance across Metro Capital Delivery to ensure consistency in approach to inspection and surveillance on network improvement projects. The role will act to ensure processes and approaches to surveillance are aligned to construction contract management requirements of the department. There will be a strong emphasis on prioritisation of resources related to risk and reporting and record keeping supporting contract management.

Qualifications And Experience

- demonstrated experience in the oversight, delivery and management of assets or projects in a public transport environment (essential)
- a relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).
- Experience in surveillance and/or quality assurance.
- Experience developing systems and processes to support construction management.
- Ability to build capability and mentor others in contract management and governance.
- Demonstrated people management experience.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Willingness to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and afternoon/night shifts.
