The Role

BPA Early Learning is one of Victoria's largest not-for-profit early learning providers, operating 38 kindergartens and long day care centres across western Melbourne, supporting children and families in some of the region’s most diverse communities.

We're establishing a new Inclusion Support Team to strengthen inclusive practice across our organisation. This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to shape our inclusion model, build educator capability and improve outcomes for children and families across 38 services.

This is a relationship-focused role combining coaching, leadership, consultation and systems improvement.

Working alongside educators and leaders, you'll help shift inclusion from a reactive response to a proactive, evidence-informed model that builds capability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the Inclusion Support Team, including one Inclusion Support Specialist.
- Coaching educators and service leadership to strengthen inclusive practices for children with additional needs, developmental differences, trauma backgrounds and complex family circumstances.
- Partnering with families to navigate referrals and access allied health, community and government support services.




- Providing advice and coaching to educators and leaders managing complex inclusion situations.
- Supporting services with inclusion planning, documentation, funding applications and individual support strategies.
- Building strong partnerships with external agencies including allied health providers, PSFO and community organisations.
- Working closely with the Pedagogy and Practice Team and Early Years Operations Team to embed a consistent inclusion framework across BPA.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or another relevant discipline.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence and the ability to travel regularly between BPA services across Melbourne's west.
- Experience as a Key Worker, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner or Inclusion professional
- Strong knowledge of child development, neurodiversity, trauma-informed practice and inclusive education.
- Experience working collaboratively with families through sensitive conversations, referrals and service navigation.
- Confidence coaching and mentoring educators while building trusting relationships.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.




- The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on support.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo relevant child safety screening, including a Working with Children Check and reference checks, in line with BPA’s Child Safe policies.
