As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our operations team and help shape the next chapter of our business.

About the Role

This is a full-time leadership position based in Hobart .

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of our tours while leading a dedicated team of office staff and tour guides. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and where delivering exceptional guest experiences is the highest priority.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading people and continuously improving how a business operates.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- Coordinate tour schedules, logistics and resource planning.
- Lead, coach and support a team of two office staff and approximately 18 professional tour guides.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, accommodation providers and tourism partners.
- Monitor operational performance, identify efficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Ensure the highest standards of service delivery, safety and quality.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Foster a positive,



collaborative and high-performance team culture.

About You

- Proven experience in operations management within the tourism, travel or hospitality industry.
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong organisational and logistics management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management abilities.
- Strong commercial awareness and sound decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital business systems.
- Experience within the Tasmanian tourism industry.
- Strong knowledge of Tasmania's tourism products and destinations.
- Multilingual skills (particularly German or another European language).
- Qualifications in Tourism, Business, Hospitality or a related discipline.
