The Opportunity

As a Consultant General Physician, you will provide specialist medical services across inpatient, outpatient and consultative settings, supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care to the Gippsland community.





You will work closely with a collaborative team of Physicians, Junior Medical Officers, Nursing staff and Allied Health professionals to manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Providing specialist General and Internal Medicine services
- Conducting inpatient ward rounds and outpatient clinics
- Delivering consultative services across the hospital
- Participating in multidisciplinary care planning
- Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff and physician trainees
- Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and service development
- Participating in teaching, education and continuing career development activities
- Supporting regional outreach and integrated models of care where appropriate
