About the role

The purpose of this role is to provide overall management ofthe headspace site, leading a multidisciplinary team of salaried staff andco-located service providers. The Centre Manager role is responsible forensuring that all deliverables are met within standards and guidelines set byboth headspace National and HealthWISE. Liaisingwith key stakeholders will be a key component of the role. Stakeholders willinclude service providers, consortia members, youth reference group members,other headspace staff, and community.

Key responsibilities

The centre manager will be required to develop and maintainpositive and effective working relationships with a broad range of people andorganisations. They must positivelyrepresent headspace to the public,community, government and other organisations.

- Assist the lead agencyto identify, establish, improve and maintain administrative and operational processes.
- Develop,implement and coordinate project plans, and report regularly against keymilestones.
- Shape andstructure a working environment where all staff understand what is expectedofthem and how their efforts contribute to organisational success.
- Supervise andmanage the performance of staff, conducting regular one on ones and weeklycheck ins. Monitor and act on any performance issues as they arise withprofessionalism in line with the fair work act and legislative requirements.
- Develop andimplement financial strategies that will ensure budgetary targets and keyperformance indicators are met.
- Develop andfacilitate events, projects,



activities and programs that increase the mentalhealth literacy of young people and the wider community.

About you

- Degree levelqualifications in Business Management or a related discipline
- OR Degree levelqualifications inPsychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or MentalHealth Nursing
- OR DiplomaBusiness Administration (or equivalent) with relevant management experience ina primary health care setting.
- Demonstratedexperience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Proven trackrecord in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a rangeof internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developedverbal and written communication skills.
- Excellentorganisational and time management skills.
- Ability toprioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreeddeadlines.
- Experience inthe youth and/or mental health sector.
- A broadunderstanding of the primary health care system in Australia.
- A broadunderstanding of the challenges and experiences of young people in Australia,including specific community factors.
- Positive andcollaborative team player.
- Ability to thinkcreatively and develop innovative solutions to problems.
