Join Roshana Care Group – Turn Your Passion into a Career
Are you ready for a role where you can walk out the door knowing you have changed someone’s day for the better? At Roshana Care Group, we have been proudly caring for older Australians for more than 20 years across Western Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia, and Victoria, and we are continuing to grow. Guided by our values of Compassion, Respect, Communication, Teamwork, and Integrity, we do not just provide care – we create real homes and real connections.
Moyne Aged Care is a 64-bed facility in Canowindra, regional NSW, offering a calm, homely atmosphere in a picturesque country town. The service combines heritage character with modern comfort and personalised care.
We are looking for Weekend Cook to join our aged care team at Moyne Aged Care, in a casual/part-time capacity.
About the Role
As a Weekend Cook, you will be a valued part of our residents’ daily lives—creating meals they look forward to and moments that bring comfort, connection, and enjoyment. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone who enjoys being active, organised, and making a meaningful impact.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Deliver meals with care and presentation that enhances the dining experience
- Cater for special diets, allergies, and texture-modified meals
- Support residents’ enjoyment of food by engaging positively during meal service
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, balance, and resident satisfaction
- Manage kitchen operations including stock control, storage, and organisation
- Work collaboratively with the care team to support residents’ wellbeing
What You Will Bring
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Experience as a cook or chef, ideally within aged care, healthcare, or hospitality
- Knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety standards
- A genuine passion for preparing meals that make a difference in people’s lives
- Solid time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, reliable attitude and ability to work well within a team
- A National Police Clearance or NDIS Screening Check, or willingness to obtain this
- Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Why You Will Love Working with Us
- Real career pathways, with opportunities to grow into senior or leadership roles
- Ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to learn on the job
- Supportive, approachable leaders who listen and support
- A friendly, inclusive team that enjoys working together, celebrates achievements, and supports one another
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program for additional support when you need it
- A values driven culture where your ideas are welcomed and your hard work is recognised
Our Approach
Your life is yours to live, we’re simply along to support the ride. This is always how we’ve seen our role; to stand beside you on your journey, never leading or pushing you towards a certain goal or lifestyle. That means that a lot of what we do starts with a curiosity to get to know you. We listen and then design a care plan that suits your needs. This mandate extends to all areas of support - from mental health care to aged care and independent living assistance. When it comes to people, being heard is often the most important thing.
