LGE 4: $68,726 per annum + superannuation

About The Role

In this role you will:

- Complete the day-to-day irrigation maintenance activities and works associated with the maintenance of council public irrigation infrastructure.
- Provide technical support relating to a broad range of irrigation assets across the TCC local government area.
- Identification and resolution of basic irrigation/plumbing problems across the network.

Carry out irrigation maintenance activities that encompasses auditing and checking for faults, repair of damaged and faulty components, replacing and upgrading of components, completing preventative maintenance activities as required, install or maintain irrigation systems within lawns and garden beds as directed and other activities as directed by a Team or Crew Leader.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

- Demonstrated ability to identify and repair & troubleshoot irrigation systems, including solenoid valves, a variety of sprinkler & drip irrigation, program standalone controllers and identify and repair leaks in non-potable main/ lateral irrigation lines.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of irrigation activities including procedures for system shut down and commissioning and identification and selection of irrigation components needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Sound knowledge of operational procedures applicable to irrigation maintenance, particularly related to the provision of services in municipal parks and open spaces.
- Current manual "C" class driver’s licence (essential).
- Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
- Understanding of IRRInet irrigation controller systems (desirable).




- Certificate III in Irrigation (desirable).
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
