This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2026.

Founded in 1980, Cecil Andrews College is situated in the fast-developing City of Armadale, in the locality of Seville Grove.

This is an opportunity for a highly effective and motivated person to join the Student Services team, supporting the college Student Services Managers and Year coordinators in providing information and guidance to students, contributing to enhancing student wellbeing.

Over the years we have grown catering for a diverse student body. We offer Specialist Arts, Specialist AFL and STEM Programs, as well as delivering TAFE certificate courses and offering traineeships and apprenticeship links for students whilst completing their secondary education. We make it our priority to foster a wide range of pathways to university, TAFE, further training and the workplace.

The Role

This role supports students, families and staff through coordinated, practical and compassionate support systems that strengthen engagement, wellbeing and success at school.

The Student Support Officer assists in coordinating the school’s student services and contributes to developing responsive systems that support students overall wellbeing by identifying social, emotional, behavioural or engagement challenges.

The role combines coordination, collaboration and problem‑solving. You will work closely with the student services team, teachers, families, leadership staff and external agencies to help remove barriers to learning and ensure students are supported both at school and within the wider community.

This role suits someone who can balance empathy with organisation,



and who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same. The role requires an ability to maintain qualified boundaries, exercise sound judgement, and work constructively within areas of responsibility and control.

Eligibility

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.

Selection Criteria

- A CV of up to three (3) pages outlining your employment history and professional learning summary relevant to this position.
- A three (3) page statement addressing the selection criteria as outlined:
- Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide a professional, confidential service to a range of clients.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computerised management information systems including database, spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Demonstrated effective organisational skills and experience in providing administrative support with the ability to manage conflicting timelines.
