Theatre Services Attendant responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of theatre events. Duties include greeting and assisting patrons, checking tickets, directing audience members to their seats, responding to enquiries, supporting crowd management, and undertaking bar operations, including the responsible service of alcohol.
Responsibilities
- Assist patrons with seating and ticket checking.
- Respond to enquiries and direct audience to appropriate areas.
- Manage crowd flow and crowd‑control during events.
- Operate bar, including sale and service of beverages, in accordance with RSA certification.
- Maintain a skilled and friendly presence throughout events.
- Participate in emergency response procedures and safety drills.
Qualifications
- Previous theatre or venue ushering and bar operations experience.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
certification.
- Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Completion of Fire Safety training.
- Excellent communication skills and proactive customer‑service attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced live entertainment environment.
Remuneration
- Base salary $32.25 gross per hour.
- 25% casual loading.
- 12% superannuation.
- Performance payment 1% – 3.5% annual salary.
- Annual award increase.
