The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Community Health Nursing West Coast (CNC – CHNWC) is the clinical lead for Queenstown, Strahan, Zeehan, and Rosebery communities (based in Rosebery with travel to the region required).
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and promote efficient and effective community‑based care aligned with Primary and Community Health Care Standards, National Primary Health Care Standards, and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including NDIS and MAC providers.
- Coordinate team discussions and staff allocations to ensure appropriate and productive care of patients.
- Support and promote an environment that fosters staff education, learning, quality improvement, and compliance requirements of the service.
Details of Appointment
- Permanent full‑time day worker position, up to 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable).
- Commencing as soon as possible.
- Note: For a period of twelve months from publication, the selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies.
Salary
USD $118,297 to $125,543 per annum, plus a 12% superannuation contribution.
Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Additional allowances may be available based on salary incremental points, including up to 10% Post‑Graduate Allowance.

Eligibility
- Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Current driver’s licence.
Desirable criteria:
- Post‑graduate qualifications or working towards appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
