About the role
Are you an early-career accounting professional looking to build your experience in a growing and purpose-driven organisation? LDK Seniors Living is seeking a Junior Home Care Accountant to support the financial operations of our Home Care business.
Reporting to the Home Care Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, supporting claims and reporting activities, and ensuring Home Care client accounts are managed efficiently. This is a fantastic prospect to develop your accounting career while contributing to services that positively impact the lives of older Australians.
Role responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and reconcile individual Support at Home (SaH) client accounts.
- Assist with preparation and submission of Support at Home (SaH), Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and DVA Community Nursing claims.
- Support the preparation and distribution of monthly Support at Home statements.
- Manage receipting activities and accounts receivable collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end processes.
- Contribute to financial reporting, analysis and other finance support activities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist with finance-related projects and other ad hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Relevant accounting qualification with 1–3 years' experience in an accounting, finance or bookkeeping role.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and data processing skills, with hands‑on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoice management.
- Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Well‑organised and capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in aged care, home care, community services, or a similar industry would be highly regarded.
