Chef – Bacino Bar Espresso

Bacino Bar Espresso is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team at our Manly café.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Chef who can help us deliver the quality and consistency Bacino is known for, while leading and developing our kitchen team.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

- Lead the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with management and front‑of‑house staff to develop seasonal menus that reflect Bacino's culinary philosophy and customer preferences.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on techniques, recipes, and culinary standards.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to source high‑quality ingredients and negotiate favourable terms.
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, maintaining efficiency and timely delivery of orders.
- Engage with customers to accommodate dietary requirements and special requests.
- Complete daily opening, preparation, restocking, cleaning, and closing routines.




- Meet benchmark wages and COGS targets in collaboration with management.

- Experience in kitchen leadership, with a proven track record of culinary excellence and team collaboration.
- Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and contemporary culinary trends.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene and sanitation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions.
