Our client, Glory Days Bondi, is looking for an experienced venue manager.

About Us: Perched within the newly restored Bondi Pavilion, Glory Days Bondi is a beachfront café, restaurant and bar offering sweeping views across Bondi Beach. Part of The Good Atelier hospitality group, which also owns Glorietta in North Sydney and The Woolpack in Redfern, the venue draws on Californian beach‑town influences to deliver an all‑day dining experience spanning breakfast, lunch, and evening bar service. Glory Days Bondi has built a solid local following for its relaxed coastal atmosphere, seasonally driven menu, and considered cocktail and beverage list, and operates as a busy, design‑forward venue that trades across food, beverage, and events. The role calls for confident, hands‑on leadership to match the pace and standards of a high‑volume hospitality operation.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Venue Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of Glory Days Bondi. This is a full‑time position responsible for the overall management of the venue's front‑of‑house operations, staff, budgets, compliance, and guest experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the venue's high service standards, driving profitability, and upholding the brand's identity within a competitive and fast‑paced beachside hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the venue, including café, restaurant, bar, and event trade
- Manage rostering, recruitment, training, and performance of front‑of‑house and bar staff
- Monitor and control venue budgets,



labour costs, stock levels, and wastage to achieve profitability targetsEnsure compliance with liquor licensing conditions, RSA requirements, food safety, and workplace health and safety regulations
- Liaise with the Head Chef and kitchen team to coordinate seamless food and beverage service
- Develop and implement operational procedures, service standards, and staff training programs
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships, including ordering and stock control
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints to maintain guest satisfaction
- Plan and coordinate venue events, promotions, and functions
- Prepare operational reports and provide updates to senior management/ownership
- Ensure the venue's presentation, cleanliness, and ambience are maintained to brand standards

Requirements

- Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Management, or a related field (or substantial equivalent industry experience)
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a venue, restaurant, or bar management role within a high‑volume hospitality environment
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
- Solid leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Sound understanding of P&L; management, rostering, and cost control
- Working knowledge of liquor licensing, food safety, and WHS compliance requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem‑solving skills
