About the opportunity
We are looking for recent drafting graduates or those within the drafting field to join our large in‑house Technical Design team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to develop, design and draft 3D framing construction plans utilizing our in‑house software to meet client specification and construction methods.
Responsibilities
- Undergo a structured 3‑month training program to learn the systems, process and quality of work.
- Produce high‑quality drafting and related documentation using an in‑house CAD software.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, such as engineering, construction and customer support.
- Independently manage drafting tasks to produce accurate and detailed designs, in an efficient and timely manner.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members, to further the enhance the team’s performance.
- Identify and resolve design issues and challenges that arise during the design and construction process.
With roles at our Edinburgh North or Bowden office, you may be required to travel between the sites for training and development, team building, collaboration, and wider‑business functions.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in architectural drafting or similar field.
- Understanding of drafting software, e.g. AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work autonomously.
- Positive attitude and work ethic.
