About the Project

We're delivering a significant marine wharf extension project at Cape York in Far North Queensland that will play an important role in supporting future regional capability. Currently in the final stages of project negotiation, this is an exciting opportunity to join the team early and help establish engineering excellence from project commencement.

Working within a cooperative project environment, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of complex marine and civil works while helping build a high‑performing engineering team.

About the Role

As Engineering Manager, you'll provide strategic leadership across all engineering functions, ensuring engineering solutions are safe, practical, efficient and delivered to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll lead a multidisciplinary engineering team while working closely with construction, commercial, quality and client stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to establish engineering processes, mentor high‑performing teams and contribute to the successful delivery of a landmark marine infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all project engineering activities.




- Develop engineering strategies, methodologies and temporary works solutions.
- Ensure engineering delivery meets safety, quality and project requirements.
- Mentor and develop project engineering teams.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Extensive engineering leadership experience delivering marine, structural and/or large‑scale structural steel fabrication projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, temporary works and engineering governance.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development skills.
