We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Retail Assistant to join our team at HW Kununurra on a full‑time basis.
This role is suited for someone who has robust retail and sales experience and can confidently manage day-to-day store operations while delivering excellent customer service across both locations when required. You will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining store standards, and ensuring the shops run smoothly at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level customer service and drive sales
- Assist customers with product selection and build strong relationships
- Operate POS system (Square) and process transactions accurately
- Open and close the store
- Manage the store independently when required
- Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising
- Stock control, stocktaking, and receiving deliveries
- Banking and end-of-day cash reconciliation
- Assist with Instagram posts and online marketing
- Keep up to date with stock and current trends
Skills & Experience
- Previous retail or sales experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident working independently and taking responsibility
- Reliable, honest, and punctual
- Ability to handle pressure in a retail environment
- Basic understanding of social media (Instagram)
About the Role
- Full‑time position
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
- No Sunday work
- Public holidays: 4‑hour shifts
