Customer Service Officer (Advanced)

We are CMA CGM, the third‑largest container shipping group in the world, operating over 22 million containers annually from more than 400 seaports. Our Montegnı-Port team in Melbourne, Australia, collaborates across the Oceania region, providing door‑to‑door shipping and digital services.

About the Role:

Reporting to: Customer Service Supervisor (Advanced) | Employment Type: Permanent, full‑time | Work Location: Melbourne, VIC

As Customer Service Officer, you will deliver accurate, timely support to import and export customers across multiple communication channels. Your role includes resolving enquiries, promoting digital and value‑added solutions, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure high customer satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements.

Responsibilities

- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, e‑mail, live chat, and internal systems.
- Handle requests related to shipment status, documentation, and service enquiries for both import and export shipments.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve customer issues and deliver a positive service experience.
- Promote value‑added and digital services that enhance the customer experience and encourage self‑service.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures and service standards while meeting established KPIs and SLAs.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a customer service or administration role, preferably within shipping, logistics, or transport.
- Strong communication skills,



able to provide clear, professional support to customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Proactive, customer‑focused approach with capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

- New Zealand citizens planning permanent relocation to Victoria are welcome to apply.
