Job Description
- Develop, implement, and review WHS policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend control measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide WHS training and support to employees across the engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company standards.
- Foster a safety-first culture and promote employee engagement in WHS initiatives.
- Prepare and present WHS performance reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.
The Successful Applicant
A successful WHS Manager should have:
- Qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a WHS role within the FMCG or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards in Australia.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams effectively.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and leading incident investigations.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
