The role
Demand on our services has created an opportunity for an junior to mid-level IT Project Manager to join our national Information Technology team based in Melbourne. The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects that support business objectives. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and meet agreed quality standards. The IT Project Manager works closely with business stakeholders, vendors, technology teams, and leadership to successfully implement IT solutions and drive continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the key responsibilities and requirements for this role are as follows;
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including infrastructure, applications, systems implementation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Assist with the development of project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Build strong relationships with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Support business readiness and organisational change activities.
- Contribute to project management standards, tools, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing IT projects from initiation through to completion.
- Robust knowledge of project management methodologies ideally PRINCE2
- Experience within a professional services, legal, financial services, or corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
