About The Role

As the Health Promotion Officer at Tallangatta Health Service, you will play a key role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community through the planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion initiatives. Working closely with community groups, local organisations, health services and key stakeholders, you will develop programs that address local health priorities, build community capacity, promote healthy lifestyles and support positive health outcomes across our catchment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based health promotion programs and initiatives that address local health priorities.
- Building and maintaining robust partnerships with community groups, schools, local organisations, health services and key stakeholders.
- Conducting community needs assessments and using data to inform health promotion planning, delivery and evaluation.
- Promoting healthy lifestyles and wellbeing through health education, community engagement and advocacy activities.
- Supporting workforce development and organisational capacity building in health promotion.
- Coordinating health promotion reporting, evaluation and compliance requirements.
- Leading health and wellbeing communications through social media, marketing materials and community events.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities across the community.

This Is a Permanent Part Time Opportunity Available Offering

- 3 or 4 days per week




- Days of work negotiable across Monday - Friday
- Remuneration in line with the Allied Health Professional (Victorian Public Sector) Enterprise Agreement.

About You

- Relevant qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health or a related field.
- Experience delivering health promotion and community wellbeing initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to use data and evidence to support planning and evaluation.
- Collaborative, proactive and community focused approach.
- Passion for improving health and wellbeing outcomes in rural communities.
